A new portal launched for Family ID
The Haryana Government has launched a new portal for Family ID, where applicants can verify their income, date of birth, and age. There is no need for the applicant to visit any office; all updates can be made online from home through the Family ID portal.
Once the age or date of birth is verified in the Family ID, individuals above 60 years of age will automatically start receiving the monthly pension. There is no need to apply separately for the old-age pension.
Not only that, if your income is verified in the Family ID and it is less than ₹1,80,000, a BPL ration card will be issued to you automatically. You won’t need to visit any office to get your BPL ration card.
How to Verify Age in Family ID
To verify the age of any member in the Family ID, you must first either download the Family ID portal on your phone or visit the official website.
There, click on the “Click Here to Add Request” option. A new page will open where you will see two options — from these, click on the “Date of Birth Verification” option.
To verify the date of birth, enter your Family ID number and click on the “Get Member” option. Now, select the name of the member whose date of birth you want to verify.
If any member in your family has not had their date of birth verified, their name will appear on the screen. Now, you will need to enter the member’s details and provide proof of date of birth.
For this, you can upload a birth certificate or school certificate. By completing this process, you can successfully verify the member’s date of birth.
If your screen displays “No Member is Pending for Age Verification”, it means the date of birth verification for all family members has already been completed.
